The 2019 death toll for flu related complications was fifty-seven.
According to Spanish Health Ministers there’s now between 400 and 500 people being treated for influenza on a daily basis.
Asturias and Navarra are among the most impacted. Furthermore, there’s now 106 cases and the epidemic threshold is 55 per 100,000.
The neighbouring regions of Murcia such as Valenciana, Catalunya and Andalucia have not yet reached epidemic levels. However, this is deemed as just a matter of time.
As the Health authorities have stressed to the public, clinics and chemists are still offering flu vaccinations.
