The body of missing 16-year-old Jacobo Isidro Benedito was located by police in an abandoned Marbella building only a day after the boy was reported missing by parents.
Search party volunteers located Beneditio’s body late Tuesday afternoon in the Lagos de las Tortugas region of Marbella.
The Policia Nacional have opened an official investigation to determine the circumstances and manner of the missing teen’s disappearance and death.
Prior to the being located police issued a public appeal for Benedito on social media on Tuesday morning.
Benedito was reported missing by his family after failing to return home from an afternoon walk on Monday evening.
