The influx of tourists in the Spanish Balearic Islands would mainly consist of German tourists. This is due to the ongoing dialogue with major tourist agencies such as TUI Group.
President Francina Armengol is confident that this will give the big boost that the Balearic region needs and will be a safe entry for arrivals.
However, for the time being, this is only a proposal and is awaiting approval from Pedro Sanchez’s government.
Armengol was satisfied by the huge positive response from across the Islands from the public and businesses.
In preparation for this advancement TAP Portugal, Lufthansa and TUI have begun adding more flights to Spain during the 2020 summer.
