The Leonardo Chain will be acquiring Fuengirola’s Florida hotel. This is their first venture into the holiday sector within the process. They already have ten city hotels in other areas of Spain.
Fuengirola’s Florida Hotel has been purchased by Leonardo Hotels and Shay Raz, CEO of the Berlin-based business has said plans are being created to modernise the facilities while still keeping it as a four-star hotel.
It is Leonardo Hotels’ first project in Malaga province despite them having ten others in Spain, primarily in Bilbao, Granada, Madrid, and Barcelona. The Florida Hotel has 184 rooms and will be reopening on March 15th under the name Leonardo Hotel Fuengirola Costa del Sol. It is not known currently whether improvement works will be carried out.
Shay Raz has said they aim to introduce their brand in these attractive holiday locations and take advantage of all the experiences of their parent company, Fattal Hotel Group. He feels the location of the Florida Hotel will be ideal for guests since water sports and beaches are nearby and Malaga city and Marbella are within half an hour and these areas have tonnes of leisure and cultural attractions.
The hotel has a plethora of facilities including a spa and around 80 percent of the rooms have spectacular views of the Mediterranean. There will be four categories of rooms including junior, deluxe, superior, and comfort suites. In addition, there will be four bars and a restaurant, parking for 50 vehicles and a conference room.
The hotel was previously owned by ML Hoteles whose CEO said he was pleased with the sale and that it will enable them to proceed with some new projects to further enhance the experience for visitors and holiday goers.
